I Sold My Soul To Lagerfeld

Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to comment on Climate Change by making a spectacle out of it! Why not create a whole collection surrounding the issue of the melting polar ice caps and global warming using more fur than he'd even flung at Fendi? HAHA But as a testament to Mr. Lagerfeld's true genius, the fur was actually fake! Polar bears can still hang onto their dear lives standing on that ice cube while PETA saved three or more bucketfuls of pig's blood this season.

But in true Lagerfeld fashion, snow bunnies draped in faux fur was just not enough. So to up the ante, he hauled in huge chunks of real iceberg from Scandinavia to create a fantastical habitat for his little furry friends to strut down the runway. A true champion for the environment, he is! HAHAHAHA

Don't you just feel all warm and fuzzy in those fur trousers!? Yes! And it's a guiltless indulgence it is for all you fashionistas. I cannot wait for next Winter. :D

These boots are just darling! The quintessential Chanel woman -- sweet and charming, with a popped cherry on top walking on ice in the frigid cold. :P

More fur than a girl can fit in her walk-in closet in Rego Park. I think only people that lived in Queens would understand this reference.

If Karl was a girl.

P.S. Now can we talk about the exuberance of these girls!? That is why I will always defend luxury brands, fashion designers, and what they stand for. Even with the use of fake ass fur, the clothes look so rich and expensive. And this is the testament of their talent and genius. Yes Forever 21, put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I Guess, Fall 2010 RTW?

I know, I know. It's a little late. I know. You know what it is, another favorite hobby of mine other than fashion is procrastination. And having to sift through endless designers and looks from Fall 2010 Fashion Week, albeit orgasmic, can be exhausting. Much like sex boys and girls.

So I did what any dedicated fashionista does in times of crises, rely on the ever trusty Style.com site. Here are their highlights, and my favorite looks, from the Fall 2010 RTW runways...

P.S. I would love to hear comments from you guys. I am just basically posting what I feel like without regard for direction or concept. So suggestions will be acknowledged. :)

Alexander the Great

The other Alexander the Great ;). This is his last and by far one of his most emotional collection. Mr. McQueen died about a month ago before this collection was strutted down the runway for everyone's viewing pleasure during Paris Fashion Week this month. This particular collection was so exquisite that even my mom, who doesn't normally worship high fashion, bowed down at the feet of the genius himself.

These are my favorite pieces out of the sixteen looks that were featured. Enjoy. ;)

P.S. Can we just talk about the intricate and clever drapery!? Ah-mazing. And don't even get me started on the shoes. Ladies and some gentlemen, thigh highs are going to be massive. So get yourself a pair. If you want to know more about the master himself, head on over to Style.com or just click this link for Mr. McQueen's latest collection: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/review/F2010RTW-AMCQUEEN
