Slick is Chic

Oil spills are the new black. In response of the recent and much publicized Oil Spill tragedy on the Gulf Coast, Steven Meisel photographed a gut-wrenching editorial spread for Vogue Italia's September issue. It is both beautiful and painful all at the same time. Aesthetically striking and thought provoking.

Here are some photos from the spread:

So to all the nay-sayers of fashion -- questioning, no, opposing its legitimacy and validity as an art form. Here's some tar to smudge all over your smug faces. Here's to constantly having to defend myself and my art. Fuck you bitches!

P.S. Sorry I got really heated. I mean, it is oil after all. No but in all seriousness, I do constantly have to defend myself and stand-up for fashion and its validity as an art form. A lot of people out there consider it as frivolous, arbitrary, even unnecessary. I think otherwise, and this is but only one of the reasons supporting my cause.

Happy Easter Everyone!

To commemorate Jesus' resurrection AKA Zombie Jesus, we released rare egg-laying bunnies all over people's lawns and yards and then steal their young (the eggs). And apparently their offsprings' food of choice right after they hatch are chocolates. YAAY!! So we snatched them too.

Mmmm.... Easter bunny chocolates. However, as a person who offered my heart to fashion and sold my soul to Lagerfeld, I am not allowed to enjoy any gustatory pleasures with calories. Air, dust, and water however are fine.

So instead, I celebrate Easter by fawning over the Miss Fortuna headband by Benoit Missolin.

This bunny ears headband are made out of black glass-pearls. Adorable and chic at the same time. And for $357.72 at eshop.benoitmissolin.com, why the HELL not, right? :)

P.S. What's with the people's fascination with bunnies these days (Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, Topshop, etc.). I mean, they are very cute little critters. And I love them as pets or on my head. Sorry PETA.

More H&M Fun Pour Femme

This is my women's style layout. Feel free to mix and match. And if you don't quite like my picks, you can always go to the H&M website and create something for yourself. I'm all for personal style. What might work for me might not necessarily work for you. So, go online and have fun. Personally, I almost came in my pants while doing these. I feel like an intern at Vogue. ;) And yes, I said intern. Because I know I need to set attainable goals. LULZ.

More H&M Fun Pour Homme

I picked these clothes myself and created a style layout from the H&M website. Wishlist alert! DO WANT!

What do you guys think? Black always look sleek, chic, and expensive. Don't you agree?

P.S. I just got the pleated pants today! Will post my own look in the very near future. :)

H&M Fun

So, as I was browsing through the H&M website, I found something very interesting. A styling template that actually works! I had so much fun that I spent the whole night perfecting a look for me. And maybe others who appreciate a man in a skirt. ;)

P.S. I would have changed the sneakers to a pair of chunky black leather boots with an industrial vibe. Like maybe a pair of Doc Martens? What do you think?
